On Sept. 23, Corinth Elementary School (CES) hosted its 5th annual Career Day where students are introduced to over 50 career paths. The CES Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), school counselors, administrators and community partners work together to help plan and support Career Day. Over 85 local professionals spend the day at 34 stations to showcase their careers to over 1,000 students in grades Prek-4. 

As the culmination of the Corinth High School’s Mississippi Writers class, students traveled to Oxford, Mississippi, to explore Rowan Oak, the historic home of William Faulkner.

Thomas Senf, a senior at Corinth High School, is a semifinalist in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. He joins approximately 16,000 other high school seniors in receiving this honor. He will continue in the national competition for approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $24 million. 

On Aug. 27, Corinth High School (CHS) hosted its fifth annual Senior Prep Day event, a day for CHS seniors to interact with local professionals in preparation for their future. The day opened with breakfast prepared by the CHS Culinary Arts students followed with an inspirational talk from Brittany Stansel, a human resources generalist at Caterpillar. Then, seniors rotated through three stations including mock interviews, the financial literacy game called Fab Life, and Fundamentals for the Future stations. Over 82 community members volunteered for this event and helped lead the three stations. 

The Corinth School District is meeting monthly with emergency management partners to ensure a seamless response in the event of a school crisis. District and school administration, the Corinth Police Department, the Corinth Fire Department, the Alcorn Council Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and school resource officers are meeting at a different school each month to review existing crisis plans and conduct tabletop exercises. 

The Corinth School District hosted the English Learner Recognition Ceremony last week at Corinth High School.

The Corinth School District Foundation announces the first-ever Corinth School District license plate! This specialty plate will allow community members to showcase their Warrior pride while directly supporting the school. 
 

Julian Prather, Corinth School District’s information technology technician, is a perfect example of the importance of retaining homegrown talent for the good of the Corinth community. Julian spent his elementary and secondary years in the Corinth School District, graduating in 2021. An associate degree in information systems technology from Northeast Mississippi Community College and a “Let’s Talk” Alliance networking event translated into the school district hiring him as its information technology technician in January 2026.
