Join us for the Corinth School District Foundation Gala on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Crossroads Arena. As the primary fundraiser for the Corinth School District Foundation, the theme of this year’s Gala is the Corinth School District’s Community Book Read, Starry River of the Sky by Grace Lin.
Founded in 2015, the foundation is a non-profit organization that financially supports the school district to reach every child through funding innovative and creative opportunities and resources that will enhance their future academic achievement. The foundation also supports teacher appreciation initiatives so our teachers and staff feel valued and appreciated. Money raised from this event bridges the gap between the needs and wants of the teachers and what the school district can provide with public funds. Since 2015, the foundation has distributed over $100,000 to Corinth teachers for grant projects.
The evening will include a seated dinner, entertainment, a silent auction and an award recognition program. Four awards will be given: Outstanding Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Student of the Year, CSD Lifetime Achievement award and the Corinth Champion award. Anyone can nominate individuals for these awards and an external selection committee will select the winners.
All local businesses and community members have the opportunity to show support through sponsorships, silent auction donations and ticket sales. Everyone is welcome to attend and tickets will go on sale in May.
