Dr. Mark Keenum, president of Mississippi State University since 2009, visited with Corinth High School seniors and juniors this week. His visit marked a homecoming because Keenum is a 1979 alumnus of Corinth High School. He attended high school at the current Corinth Middle School campus. “I’m proud to be a graduate of Corinth High School,” said Keenum. “I have a lot of great memories from my time here.”

Tylan Mayes, a senior at Corinth High School, won first place in the high school division of the Mississippi State University Startup Summit, hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Outreach. Tylan won $5,000 to invest in his startup business, Ty’s Mobile Barbering Service.

Max Evans, a sophomore at Corinth High School, has been selected as one of 11 semifinalists for the Mississippi State Board of Education (SBE) junior student representative for the 2026-27 school year. 

Corinth Elementary School and Corinth High School each received $5,000 STEM classroom grants sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Incorporated (BVI) and facilitated by the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Corinth School District hosted “Love at First Science” STEM Saturday camp, where over 120 registered students brought science, technology, engineering, and math to life. The vibrant, hands-on activities were specifically designed to spark imagination and curiosity in students from Pre-K through 6th grade.

One hundred and seventy eight students from the Corinth School District received prestigious awards during the Cambridge ceremony at the Corinth High School (CHS).

The Corinth School District hosted its fifth annual English Learner Family Night on February 17, at Corinth Elementary School. Over 135 parents and students attended this fun evening full of games, prizes, student artwork, good food and an informative parent meeting about how to help their students be successful on upcoming state tests. 

Leadership Alcorn recently participated in Education Day with a comprehensive tour of the Corinth School District, showcasing programs across all three campuses.

Jack Frame, a senior at Corinth High School, is a finalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program. This achievement places Jack in a group of 15,000 students representing less than 1% of high school seniors nationwide.
